Terms of Use
By downloading or using Photell, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. The service
Photell is a language speaking practice app. You describe photos out loud and receive automated feedback. Features may change as we improve the product.
2. Accounts
Photell may create an anonymous account on your device so progress can be saved. You are responsible for activity on that account on your device. Additional sign-in options may be added later.
3. Acceptable use
- Use Photell for personal language practice
- Do not abuse, reverse engineer, or disrupt the service
- Do not attempt to bypass usage limits or payment systems
- Do not submit unlawful or abusive content
4. Feedback quality
Scores and suggestions are generated automatically and may be imperfect. Photell is a practice tool, not a certified language exam or professional tutoring service.
5. Subscriptions and purchases
Some features may require a paid subscription through Apple In‑App Purchase. Pricing, renewals, and cancellations are managed by Apple according to your App Store account settings. Refund requests are handled under Apple’s policies.
6. Intellectual property
Photell, its name, design, and software are owned by us or our licensors. Daily photo content may be licensed from third parties. You keep rights to your own spoken practice content; you grant us a limited license to process transcripts to provide feedback and store your history.
7. Disclaimer
The app is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or error-free AI feedback.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Photell and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or progress, arising from your use of the app.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
